How do I progress in rank?
When you pass Testing. Testing is a process where we evaluate the skills of the student to determine whether they are ready to progress to the next level of training. What is expected of students depends on the rank, age and physical ability of the student. We have a set curriculum of material to be mastered for each belt rank. Testings are held every 8 weeks. For information about testing fees and tuition click here. All students are tested by a panel of Black Belt judges.
Should a student not pass testing, the student does not have to pay for next testings, or until they pass.
After testing...
You passed Testing... Great! Congratulations. You will receive a new belt and a certificate from Taekwondo America National Office. We do not print our certificates. The certificate is 11” x 8.5” and you can frame it and put it on the wall for everyone to see your success.
You received a “no change”... Great job on doing your best! We are very proud of you and we know that you tried really hard. Let us focus on problem areas and together we will be working toward your success.
Is it safe?
While injury is always possible in any physical or sport activity we take great precautions in our school. We start with a warm-up at the beginning of each class and a cool-down period at the end.
We wear a protective gear when we spar and “Safety” is the #1 rule in all the activities we do in our karate school.
We recommend talking to your doctor before you start our martial arts program.
Taekwondo? Tae Kwon Do? TaeKwon-Do?
There are as many ways to say the word as to write it. We have decided to follow the example of Wikipedia encyclopedia to make things easy and clear to everyone.

Do you teach any religion?
We do not teach any religion. We keep karate and religion completely separate. We do not impose any religious beliefs on our students. Karate teaches a code of conduct and a way of non-violence. It develops character and self-discipline. These are not religious in nature.
